Pegasus Airlines is a turkish low cost carrier with its main base at Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen. It was founded in 1989 by Aer Lingus and turkish companies. In 2005 Pegasus was taken over by ESAS Holding. From 2011 till 2013 Pegasus and Air Berlin had a joint venture called Air Berlin Turkey.
