Bmi British Midland International was a british airline until it was intergrated into British Airways in 2012. It was founded originally in 1938 under the name of Air Schools Limited as a school for training pilots of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. In 1964 it was renamed to British Midland Airways. Bmibaby and bmi Regional are subsidiaries of Bmi British Midland. Bmi Regional still operates flights, while bmibaby ceased operations.
