The McDonnel Douglas MD 90 is the third gerneration of the DC9 series and can carry up to 172 passengers. Compared to the MD80 series the MD90 was equipped with new engines and avionics. It completed its maiden flight on 22nd february 1993 and a total of 116 aircrafts were built until productions ended in 2000.
