The Airbus 300 is the first twin engined widebody jet aircraft in the world. Furthermore the A300 is the first model of Airbus. It can carry up to 345 passengers. The freighter version can carry up to 49 tons. Old passenger A300 can be converted to freighters. The Airbus A300 completed its maiden flight on 28th october 1972. 561 Airbus A300 were built until production ended in 2007. The A300 is a milestone in european aircraft manufacturing history to compete against Boeing.
